Kaju Matar Pulao recipe: How to make Cashew & Green Peas Pulao?

I am sharing Kaju matar pulao recipe (काजू मटर पुलाव नुस्खा) because it is my favourite dish.  It is prepared within few minutes for lunch or dinner. Cashew & Green Peas Pulao is very simple, easy to make dish.

Kaju matar pulao or Cashew & Green Peas Pulao Recipe:

Kaju matar pulao or Cashew Ingredients  : –

  • 1 cup basmati rice(long grain)
  • 1/2 cup roasted cashews
  • 1/2 cup peas, 1 pinch asafetida
  • 1 pinch turmeric, 1 3/4 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons ghee and salt to taste.


How to prepare Kaju mattar pulao: – First, you have to wash and soak the rice in water for 15 minutes. After that You have to drain the water completely now take a pan and put in the ghee and bring to heat, Add the peas and the asafoetida. You have to fry this for a minute and put in the rice and sauté briefly. After that, Pour the water and add turmeric and salt to according to taste. Stir well and cover the pan. Let it boil and then reduce the flame and let it cook for 25 minutes or till the rice is cooked Now add the roasted cashew nuts to the rice and mix it. Garnish this with coriander and serve.

Reparation time : – 35 minutes     Serves : – 2
